Well, it's that time of year again! HALLOWEEN! :D We had our annual dress up day ! This year we were ZOMBIES! How scary ?! The first years were witches, second years were pirates, third years were SuperHeroes, fifth years were clowns and sixth year were Harry Potter characters! As a zombie, I ripped up my jeans, shredded up a t-shirt and then I stuck on some pale face paint! It wasn't my most attractive moment I have to say but it looked good all the same !
Earlier on in the week in Tech. with Mr. W we started on our formula one project! Which I have to say I am very excited about! Even though I'm not the best at Tech. I'll give it a go! Also, we had JunkKoutre! We have changed our headpiece again! Now we are going to do a bird's nest! We were even thinking about maybe changing the back of the skirt to a more metallic look so we could show the comparison of nature against industry, but were not too sure yet! It would be very difficult! I also had Mini Company, we have decided to do a Sports Skills app! It should sell(hopefully) !

Hello Again! Well, It's the Fourth Friday of TY! Which is a bit crazy, well I think so anyway! So, my class didn't win the Fun Walk! I'm sure it was a fix(not really, our dance was more than just a bit off) So, I'll be starting the review of my week on Tuesday(I was out on Monday!) Well, then, Tuesday I had Home Ec. which meant Junk Koutre! We have our headpiece perfectly designed! We are going to do a tree-house! On Wednesday I had my work experience(check out my workexp. blog for all the gossip there!). Thursday then came, in Spanish we watched the movie"El Bolo" which means The Pellet, everything is just starting to get exciting! Then in History our class perfected the Mexican wave,( Ms.C wasn't impressed) and we learned about King Edward the Second and the very painful way he died(I'm not even repeating it, it's very icky!) Next we had Mini Company and we had to change our product ! Now we are doing i-pod speakers that are waterproofed, so if know anybody that wants some, give us a call ;D ;) Now, it's Friday and this week is over(sad face). We had design today and we started to make our headpiece! Everything is starting to come together nicely!

Well, on Friday we had our annual Fun Walk! Which always promises to be great fun and this year was no exception! So, being in TY our colour was YELLOW! It was surprisingly difficult to find a yellow t shirt(most things are mustard!) but I got there in the end! After a lot of deliberation we all finally decided to dress up as yellow Lego blocks(because that's just how cool we are!) We chose the song Hey Ya by Outkast to do a little dance to!It was very cool! On the day our dance was a bit off because we got out of sync with the music but you could hardly notice it(I think, I hope!!) Well, in our school during the Fun Walk our job is to direct all the other students where to go which is quite fun(power trip whooop!!!) Me and Caitlin were stationed at the First set of traffic lights with Mr.H which was really fun! He gave us jellies(yum!) which is always a good time! It was really funny because all the cars kept beeping their horns at us! After directing all the girls through the walk we headed back to school were we got a free drink(diet coke!!) and had a bit of a dance! After that it was all over for another year and luckily the rain stayed away! The winners are announced Monday, so wish us all luck!!

Well, it's October already and I can hardly believe I've been in TY a month now, time has just flown by!! I'm doing my second week of work experience tomorrow(wish me luck!) But so far this week, My group in Junk Koutre has completely finished the front of our skirt! (Yes!!) and nearly finished the back,it would have been done by now apart from all the rain that is absolutely saturating all the leaves! We designed our headpiece too! We've decided to to make a tree-house, tyre swing and all! Also, I had Tech. as-well which I am glad to report am really enjoying even though I'm shockingly bad at it ! Started to cut out my clock which doesn't really look like a clock(Or more than likely ever will look like a clock especially with the way I use a file and saw!) In Science this week we did another cool experiment! We got to make volcanoes!(Our groups was the best!)It was a really fun way of learning about acids and bases !! I also went to the "Green Schools" meeting which I am happy to say is really interesting! Also, I had choir practice which was fun too! Well, that's it so far this week,Over and out, Corrie !
Well, yet another week of TY has flown by and it's time for me to tell you all about it ! So, in Science this week we did this absolutely amazing experiment ! We made normal copper pennies turn golden ! It was quite cool! We did it by heating zinc and sodium hydroxide on a hot plate and mixing it around and then putting the coin on the hot plate itself ! On Tuesday I had double Tech. and I finished my key-ring(hooorayy !!!) and started marking out my clock which I am delighted to say is going to be a baby pink colour! Later that same afternoon I had Home Ec. which meant Junk Koutre Time ! Chanice started leaving( actually putting leaves on the back of the skirt) and Rosie and me started paper maché the front. On Wednesday I had my first day of Work Experience which I can say with a smile went really well ( If you want to know more on my Work Exp. follow the link on the side of my page!) on Thursday we finally decided on our mini- Company ideas which is quite a relief, That's it really for this week!( I think!)

This was the most epic week of my life ! I got to go to Carlingford with my fellow TY's ! :D
It began with a lot of packing sweets and warm woolies! Then it was an early start on Monday! On the bus to the adventure centre we watched Tangled which is quite a cool movie ! Then we arrived and got split into 2 groups and sorted out the rooms. I shared a room with 11 other girls and that in itself was an experience ! The first task we endured was laser tag ! The best fun ever ! Walking around carlingford village in an army suit and fake guns! It was immense ! Then we had lunch, beans,chips and sausage rolls ! Then we had kayaking ! It was difficult.... My arms were killing me after !! That night we did the Night Line Walk which was scary ! Stumbling around the forest at night time with a blindfold on and the instructors pouring water over us and rubbing leaves against us ! So scary !! That night we had a mini party in our room eating our weight in sweets, chocolate and crisps! Surprisingly we were all out cold by 12:30 ! The next morning started off with us having to clean our rooms (not a fun time) but then soon improved with the news that we would be zorbing ! Which is when we were strapped into a giant rubber ball and pushed down a hill ! Then we had high ropes and challenges which were deadly ! Much to my sadness it was time to leave and say bye to all the instructors who we all came to love.

Well, It's the second week in Transition Year! I have to say it's been a bit crazy ! It started off with trying to make a skirt out of newspaper and chicken wire in Junk Koutre! We decided on a paper mache, we used so much glue ! Then we had Tech which was really cool because I got to use the hack-saw and the pillar drill which was quite a big deal for me! Then Wednesday came, the day of reckoning ! The day of our Junior Cert results! My nerves were on edge but everything was good ! I done really well! (Hooray!) Then I had a great night ! I went to a disco with my friends and had a blast ! The next day, feeling very tired I headed back to school and had a great day, in Mini Company we brainstormed things to sell to our fellow pupils! It was a good day ! Then on Friday I has a great Music class, learning to play "We Will Rock You" on guitar and I have to admit I'm not very good ! So, that's it really !
